Travel to Italy with sounds of 'First Night Out' concert
Before filing into the Florida West Coast Symphony's "First Night Out" concert Saturday, try sipping a martini by the sunset. This may be the perfect prelude to an evening of moonlight and music, says Maestro Leif Bjaland. The first performance of the season for the full orchestra will feature Vivaldi's "Autumn" from "The Four Seasons" (with guest violinist James Ehnes), Verdi's "Triumphal March" from "Aida," Respighi's "The Pines of Rome" and Rossini's "Overture to William Tell."
